How to factory reset Samsung Galaxy Tab for better performance

A factory/hard reset will reset the Samsung Galaxy TAB back to factory default settings. You would perform hard reset if you want the mobile device prepared to sell or return to the store, but you may also want to perform a hard reset if there are problems with the phone that you can not seem to solve using any other way. Before factory reset you should backup anything you have on your phone internal storage that you do not want to lose.

Steps to perform hard reset or factory reset the samsung galaxy tab android phone

Step 1:
Turn off your device

Turn off your samsung galaxy tab android phone. To turn off your tab android device, press power key, tap Power off option and then tap OK.

Step 2:
Press and hold the Power and Volume up buttons simultaneously

Press and hold the Power button and Volume up button simultaneously. Release the power button when samsung logo appears but continue to hold the volume up button untill recovery screen appears.

Step 3:
Select 'wipe data/factory reset' option

Use volume up and volume down buttons for scrolling and tap on home icon to make a selection. Press the Volume Down key to scroll to 'wipe data/factory reset' option and tap home for selection.

Step 4:
Select 'Yes -- delete all user data' option

Press the Volume Down key to highlight the 'Yes -- delete all user data' option and tap on home to select the highlighted option.

Step 5:
Reboot your device

Once the wipe is complete, tap on home to select reboot system now. Now device will restore the factory default settings.

Step 6:
Hard reset procedure is completed
